The National Monuments Service's description
Towards the top of the E-facing slope of an E-W drumlin ridge. Circular grass-covered area planted with mature deciduous trees (diam. 51m N-S; 51m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5-5.5m; int. H 0.5-1.2m; ext. H 1.5-1.9m) S-NW, and a scarp (H 0.9-1.3m) elsewhere. There is a fosse (at S: Wth of top 5.3m; ext. D 0.3-0.7m) SE-SW and W-NW which is traceable as a berm (Wth 6-7m) NW-SE. The entrance (Wth 2.5m) is at E, while a gap (Wth 3.5m) at SW is modern.
