The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight rise of ground in undulating countryside. Circular area (diam 38m E-W; 39m N-S) enclosed by two earthen banks with intervening fosse (Wth 2m; int. D 1.7m; ext. D 1m). Inner bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.5m) is best preserved with external bank (Wth 1.5; ext. H 0.5m) destroyed at E. Causeway entrance gap (Wth 3.5m) at NE .
