The National Monuments Service's description
Late 17th/early 18th-century gable ended house built onto the front of Emmel Castle (OF044-012001-). The house has a five bay two storey facade over a basement with projecting gable ended chimney stacks indicative of a late 17th-century date. (Garner 1985, 23)
