The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on top of a natural rise in undulating countryside with 17th-century house (OF044-011001-) to the W. Only the S wall survives of this nave and chancel church with the wall footings of the N wall barely visible. The Nave (6.5m N-S; 12m E-W; wall T 0.8m) has a single light window at the E end of the S wall. Only a small portion of the S wall of the chancel (4m N-S; 5m E-W) survives. No other features visible. The church is located in the centre of a graveyard (OF044-011003-) which contains 18th/19th-century headstones enclosed by a modern stone wall.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
