The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on N facing slope of rising ground in upland area. Curralanty Castle (OF042-003----) 500m to N, bullaun stone (OF042-006----) 200m to E. Trapezoidal-shaped platform (dims. 48m N-S; 54.5m E-W ) enclosed by a much degraded bank with raised rounded corners and a wide flat bottomed dry fosse (Wth 2.5m) with slight evidence of an outer bank at S and possible ramped entrance at S end of W side of platform. The location of the site in an upland area along with no indicator of water source for the fosse are unusual for moated sites.
