The National Monuments Service's description
Unlocated bullaun stone within the townland of Cloghan that is mentioned in the schools manuscript (Folklore Commission) which states that 'there is a mass rock with the foot print of a saint on it, water lies on the rock always no matter--The water that lies on this rock is a cure for warts' (Stout Anco Survey 1984-5).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
