The National Monuments Service's description

Located on the field surface in the centre of a field within a Bord Na Móna bog, this site consists of 2-3 pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.03m) oriented E-W. The elements were broken and fragmentary but the wood was in a moderate condition with some bark intact. The degraded remains of a possible metal tool-mark were noted on one element. The wood lay in a sticky green/brown well-humified peat surrounded by poorly humified orange/brown sphagnum peat with occasional eriophorum.
