The National Monuments Service's description
Two pieces of brushwood and a piece of roundwood (Wth 1.58m; D 0.39m) in the drain face. The two pieces of light brushwood are 0.2-0.84m apart, within moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Phragmites and some ericaceous remains. The piece of roundwood has been broken and displaced. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
