The National Monuments Service's description
Market House that is marked on Michael Richards map of Birr from 1691 (Feehan and Rosse 2007, 13-15). This market house was located in the Market Square and has since been demolished. Market Cross (OF035-012015) would have been located in close proximity to the Market House.
