The National Monuments Service's description
Unlocated castle within the townland of Ballykelly (Loeber 1988 vol. 1, 20). According to Loeber in 1622, Bostock King purchased the lands and castle of Ballinkelly [Ballykealy] from the Earl of Kildare. A pile of stones in a field known locally as 'The Castle Field' may represent the remains of Ballykealy Castle (pers. comm. Brian Pey 28 July 2009).
