The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 16.97m min.; Wth 0.68m; D 0.16m) is orientated ENE-WSW. At the E end it consists of three closely set longitudinal planks and two pegs. The planks (W 0.12-0.42m) are radially, tangentially and half-split. The pegs (diam. 0.04-0.05m) have been flattened to angles of 30° max. The wood is in poor condition and lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with ericaceous remains and a layer of Eriophorum appears to have grown over the site. At the W end this structure continues as a roundwood and two split timbers.
