The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 86.62m; Wth 1.2m; D 0.21m) is orientated ENE-WSW. At its centre it consists of eleven longitudinal roundwoods (diam. 0.07-0.2m). The elements are closely set, up to two pieces in depth, with fragments of bark and a wood-chip lying between them. The wood is in a moderate to good condition and there is single metal-cut toolmark present. The site lies in poor to moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. A band of Eriophorum appears to have grown over the surface of the site. The site maintains a consistent structure along its length with occasional brushwood, split timbers and bark fragments also present. Overall the site is in a poor condition due to machine damage and exposure. This site may be associated with SMR OF026-070---- a togher also orientated ENE-WSW located approximately 75m to the SW.
