The National Monuments Service's description
Four late 17th century graveslabs located in the graveyard to the S of the Franciscan Friary (JKAS vol. 9, 1918-22, 23-32). Located at the N end of the E wall of the graveyard there is a very worn sandstone slab carved with the arms of O'Dunne. It is traditionally believed to mark the grave of Charles O'Dunne of Ballybrittas, Co. Laois, who fought in the Battle of Aughrim in 1690 (Fitzpatrick and O'Brien 1998, 146).
