L 8m) and a short section of the W gable (H 1.8m; L. 2.4m x 3,2m; Wall T 1.-2-1.6m) of this possible late 17th century house (ext. dims. c. 8m N-S x 24m E-W; wall T 1.2-1.6m) survives incorporated into the outhouse attached to the W gable of a single storey post-1700 cottage. The E gable is surmounted by a chunky rectangular-shaped chimney stack which serves a large ground floor fireplaced which projects into the ground floor room which is now used as an outhouse attached to the single storey cottage. Annotated 'Park Old Ho.' on the 1837 ed. OSi 6-inch map where the house is approached by a long avenue to S which connects onto the public road located 210m to the S. The roadway runs past the W gable of the house and runs N towards the bog located 580m to N. The Books of Survey and Distribution for County Offaly recorded that in 1640 the lands of 'Parke & Blundellsberry' belonged to Sir Arthur Blundell of Blundellstown, (alias Lumcloon), King's County who in 1642 was Governor of Fort Falkland (OF021-003007-) in the town of Banagher located 3.8km to the SW.
