The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 19.56m; Wth 3.42m; D 0.4m) is orientated NNW-SSE. At its N side it is composed of longitudinally laid mixed brushwood, two roundwoods, split timbers and pegs. The majority of these elements are closely spaced, however, the density of the site is variable and a few transverse elements are present. On the E side, the elements are up to nine pieces deep and on the W side they are two to four pieces deep and more dispersed. The heavier roundwood (diam. 0.082-0.14m) and timber elements (L 0.11m max; D 0.04m) dominate the upper portion of the site. Four partially surviving pegs (diam. 0.023-0.043m), are set at 60-80° angles and occur below the E half of the site. The wood is in moderate condition and woodworking is evidenced by predominantly radially split timbers, one half-split timber and a metal-cut chisel point on one of the pegs. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. The S sighting (Wth 1.76m min.) consists of dense brushwood and planks on the field surface with the. SMR OF019-119---- is 0.36m below the N sighting.
