The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 1.66m min.; Wth 5.3m; D 0.27m min.) is orientated NE-SW. It consists of densely packed brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.05m) and roundwoods (diam. 0.14-0.17m) laid up to four pieces deep, with twigs dispersed throughout the site. The wood is quite fragmented but is generally in good condition. There are a number of degraded toolmarks on some of the elements and some fragments appear to be half-splits. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with a large amount of Eriophorum, particularly at its S limit. SMR OF019-047---- and SMR OF019-043 are c. 50m and 1.3m to the W respectively.
