The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 1.91m min.; Wth 1.12m; D 0.13m min.) is orientated NE-SW and is composed of mixed brushwood, laid two pieces deep, with occasional twigs and a single stake. The brushwood is densely packed and laid both longitudinally and irregularly. The stake (L 0.13m; diam. 0.02m) is set at 85° and is situated near the W extent of the site. Two wooden artefacts (02E0941:13, 02E0941:4) were also incorporated into the site. This site has been radiocarbon dated to 1736-1448 cal. BC (Wk-11728). It lies in well-humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains.
