The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 2.67m min.; Wth 1.53m; D 0.07m) has an apparent N-S orientation and consists of a hurdle panel supported at its E edge by an underlying piece of longitudinal heavy brushwood. There are three sails (diam. 0.03-0.045m) evident with over forty rods (diam. 0.04-0.025m) tightly woven between them. The panel is secured at the N end by a single ply withe tied around the rods and the end sail. Overall, the structure is tightly woven but there are two gaps in the weave. It lies in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Radiocarbon dated to 1409-1054 cal. BC (Wk-11727). SMR OF019-034---- and SMR OF019-121---- are 4m and 0.2m to the NE, respectively. SMR OF019-036---- is 4m to the W.
