The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 3.42m min.; Wth 2.16m min.; D 0.17m) consists of brushwood with occasional roundwoods and twigs. The brushwood (diam. 0.012-0.052m) and roundwoods (diam. 0.073-0.088m) are closely set and orientated in a NE-SW direction. These overlie a lower layer of less dense brushwood (diam. 0.043-0.052m) orientated N-S. The overall site orientation could not be determined. A single, degraded, metal-cut worked end was noted and the wood is in moderate condition and machine damaged. The site is set in moderately humified Sphagnum peat.
