The National Monuments Service's description
A small, irregular scatter of brushwood (L 1.94m; Wth 1.54m min.; D 0.11m) on the field surface with an associated artefact (02E0839:4a-c). The predominant element in the site is a piece of heavy brushwood orientated NE-SW. The remaining material consists of lighter, shorter elements, irregularly deposited to either side of this piece, with most of the material to the SE. One of the worked pieces of light brushwood has been radiocarbon dated to cal. AD 1285-1413 (Wk-11716). The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with frequent fibrous roots. SMR OF018-146---- is 4.58m to the SE. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
The original survey description was compiled by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin). Assessed and revised by: Caimin O'Brien, Paul Walsh
