The National Monuments Service's description

The site (Wth 1.47m; D 0.43m) is a compact but uneven structure of mixed brushwood and roundwoods in opposing drain faces. The wood is orientated N-S, with a few perpendicular fragments on the E side of the drain face. There is also a large trunk and some woodchips set within this material. Wood species include Pyrus/Malus, alder, ash, elm, oak and holly. It is located 1.1m above subsoil within moderately humified Sphagnum peat which contains ericaceous roots and Phragmites. The site has been radiocarbon-dated to 1255-836 cal. BC (Beta 118039). The site is located 4.5m N of SMR OF015-493----.
