The National Monuments Service's description

A brushwood structure (L 59.82m; Wth 1.26m; D 0.35m) orientated NNE-SSW and evident at three sightings on the field surface and in the drain face. The structure is most cohesive at the most NE sighting where it consists of a dense deposit of brushwood and occasional twigs which tapers to either side. The brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.047m) appears to be largely orientated NE-SW. The wood is in good condition. Metal-cut toolmarks occur on some of the pieces. Wood species include hazel, birch, willow, oak, ash, alder and Crataegus. The site was radiocarbon dated to cal. AD 1058-1285 (Beta-118031). The site is set in poorly humified Sphagnum containing ericaceous matter and Eriophorum. At the most SE sighting, it occurs less than 0.1m below SMR OF015-446---- and at the NW, it is situated at the base level of SMR OF015-447----.
This site was first discovered in July 1996 where all of the material in this area was thought to indicate a single site. Further examination in 1997 indicated a series of smaller structures. Included within this area are SMR OF015-430----, SMR OF015-346----, SMR OF015-365----, SMR OF015-414----, SMR OF015-446----, SMR OF015-447---- and SMR OF015-448----.
