The National Monuments Service's description

Three dispersed roundwoods (L 13.58m; Wth 0.85m; D 0.06m) orientated NE-SW at two sightings on the field surface. At the SW sighting, a heavy birch roundwood is orientated N-S. Approximately 13.6m to the NE, two small pieces of light brushwood are similarly orientated. The material is present within well-humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum and ericaceous root. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.

The original survey description was compiled by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin). Assessed and revised by: Caimin O'Brien, Paul Walsh
