The National Monuments Service's description
The site (Wth 1.7m; D 0.15m) consists a cluster of irregularly laid light brushwood and twigs in the drain face. The brushwood is up to nine pieces deep. A small number of pieces are also noted c. 0.12m below the main concentration of material to the N of the site. Evidence for woodworking is confined to some displaced brushwood in the opposing drain face. Wood species identified include oak, willow, birch, Pomoideae and hazel. The site is situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat containing occasional Eriophorum.
