The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 15.55m; Wth 0.4m min.; D 0.1m) is orientated NW-SE and composed of longitudinal brushwood and longitudinal and transverse roundwoods, up to two elements deep. A number of pieces have metal-cut toolmarks. Wood species include willow, ash, birch, alder, oak and Pomoideae. The site lies in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with significant amounts of Eriophorum and some fibrous roots. Some charred material, including seeds, is noted within the surrounding peat. The NW sighting is situated immediately above SMR OF015-189----. At the SE sighting, the site is located c. 0.4m above SMR OF015-235----.
