The National Monuments Service's description

The site (Wth 0.85m; D 0.25m) is orientated E-W and consists of a compact arrangement of predominantly light brushwood in the drain face. The centre of the deposit consists of a mixture of light brushwood and twigs laid longitudinally, up to five pieces deep. The arrangement is less compact towards the edges of the site but is comprised of heavier brushwood. A number of outlying pieces are also noted. The ends of a small number of pieces have been cut to chisel points with a metal tool. The brushwood consists largely of birch with lesser amounts of oak and hazel. The site is located in well-humified peat with pockets of Eriophorum and Phragmites and occasional Menyanthes seeds.
The site is situated at the top of a larger horizon of archaeological material. Another brushwood structure, SMR OF015-159----, is located c. 0.05-0.1m below this site which in turn sits above a third brushwood structure, SMR OF015-162----. A further brushwood structure, SMR OF015-164----, is recorded in the drain base c. 2m to the SE.
