The National Monuments Service's description

A substantial deposit of light brushwood and twigs, laid eight pieces deep, in opposing drain faces (Wth 2.86m; D 0.49m). The pieces are irregularly laid and form a main concentration with 5-10 widely dispersed pieces extending to either side. A number of metal-cut chisel points are present. One piece was identified as holly. The site is in well-humified Sphagnum peat. A single vertical peg, possibly sawn, is located c. 1.5m to the S but its relationship to the site is unclear.
