The National Monuments Service's description

Sandstone cross-slab (dims. 0.58 x 0.42 ) that was first mentioned in 1908 by E. c. R. Armstrong and in 1949 was located in an out-house near the gate lodge (Macalister 1949, 72). This slab was described as `Part of the lower margin of a slab which has borne a probably simple cross in a square panel, surrounded with a wavy band in relief: the surface of the stone, all but a bordering, has been cut back to secure the relief' (Macalister 1949, 72). This slabs bears an inscription which reads BERRAN.
