The National Monuments Service's description
House built on site of possible enclosure, of doubtful antiquity. No evidence of any antiquity. Indicated as a rectangular shaped enclosure on current edition of the Ordnance survey 6-inch map but no depicted on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
