The National Monuments Service's description
The site (Wth 1.82m; D 0.23m min.) is orientated N-S and composed of densely packed mixed brushwood and light roundwoods, up to six pieces deep. The elements are longitudinally laid with one possible transverse, and are interspersed with occasional twigs. Amongst the pieces identified are birch, hazel, alder, ash and willow. The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Radiocarbon dated to cal. AD 1645-1950 (UCD 0215). SMR OF010-204---- is 0.1m above the centre of this site.
