The National Monuments Service's description
An irregular deposit (Wth 0.82m; D 0.13m) of four pieces of brushwood and two stakes. The brushwood (diam. 0.015-0.05m) is located on the S side of the side of the site. The stakes (diam. 0.017-0.021m) are 0.21m to the N and 10.09m apart. Toolmarks are evident on a piece of brushwood. The wood is in good condition and in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with occasional fibrous roots. SMR OF010-091---- is 0.027m above this site in a different peat layer. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
