The National Monuments Service's description

No surface remains of any enclosure visible inthe area marked on the aerial photograph taken in 1981 (OSO 3010092/3010094). This field is used as a jumping ground for horses.

Archaeological testing under licence no. 03E0325 was carried out as part of the planning schedule for a single house development at Kilcoursey, Clara, adjacent to an enclosure (SMR 8:19). Trenches were excavated by mechanical digger at the house site, entrance and percolation area. No features or finds of archaeological significance were revealed (Excavations Bulletin 2003).
