The National Monuments Service's description

The site (L 121.75m; Wth 0.8m; D 0.1m) is orientated NE-SW and consists of single longitudinal oak planks, although occasionally more than one plank is present. The planks tend to be radially split. The site has been dendrochronologically dated to 948±9 BC (Q8931).
