The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 1.67m; Wth 0.9m; D 0.04m) is composed of predominantly light brushwood on the field surface. The pieces are regularly deposited and are largely orientated NE-SW. A small number of pieces sitting at angles of c. 50° may have functioned as pegs. Displaced pieces of wood, including some worked pieces, are noted on the field surface within a 5m radius of the site. Toolmarks are noted on two pieces within the site. Wood species include alder and hazel. The site is located in poorly humified Sphagnum peat.
