The National Monuments Service's description
A piece of brushwood (L 0.59m; diam. 0.032m), with evidence of branch-trimming. It was in poorly humified Sphagnum with occasional ericaceous remains, Eriophorum and Phragmites. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
