This site (L 592.33m; Wth 0.63m; D 0.1m) is orientated NW-SE and constructed of stone and wood. It was being destroyed at the time of recording and there was no clear surviving association between the different constructional elements. It appears to be predominantly comprised of longitudinally and transversely set planks, with flagstones and some associated wood chips. Within the NW part of the site it consists of single transversely laid planks at three sightings one of which was radial split and longitudinally laid planks at two sightings (L 1.52-2m max.; Wth 0.22m).
The adjacent part of the site consists of a series of partially disturbed flag-stones with associated wood chips at some sightings. One flagstone is associated with 2 oak posts (diam. 0.1-0.14m), set 7.75m apart in a N-S direction. At another sighting, flagstones and a transversely laid split oak timber, are set 0.4m apart. Where less disturbed the site survives as a deposit of 4 closely set sandstone flagstones (Wth 1.18m; D 0.05m).
The SE portion of the site, consists of single longitudinal planks at four sightings, one with associated wood chips, another with a flagstone. At two sightings are transverse planks with associated wood-chips. The original dimensions of the planks (L 1.52-2.45m min.; Wth 0.26-0.63m; D 0.02-0.03m min.) could not be determined because of machine damage. The flags are of white sandstone and had been fragmented by machinery making it impossible to ascertain the original size (D 0.02-0.05m).
The trackway is set above well-humified Sphagnum with some pockets of Eriophorum associated with the wood chips and poorly humified Sphagnum associated with some of the stones.
