The National Monuments Service's description

The site (L 25.934m; Wth 1.17m; D 0.23m) is orientated E-W in adjacent drain faces It consists of compact roundwoods (diam. 0.061-0.091m) and brushwood (diam. 0.023-0.045m), closely set and longitudinally laid. No woodworking is evident. The wood species identified were ash, alder, birch, Pyrus/Malus and willow. It is situated in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Phragmites. The site was radiocarbon dated to 1491-1126 cal. BC (Beta 118037).
