The site (L 120.11m; Wth 2.35m; D 0.1m) is orientated E-W in opposing drain faces and on the field surfaces It consists of a number of radially split planks and one tangentially split plank, laid longitudinally. Two pegs set at 90° and 70° in association with a timber fragment were all that remained at one of the sightings. A piece of brushwood in association with some of the planks may constitute a third peg which has been dislodged. A small number of planks are irregularly laid and some of the elements may have had a substructural function but milling activity may have dislodged them from their original position. A number of planks have mortices, worked ends and branch-trimming but the toolmarks are degraded in most instances. A single plank is charred. The pegs were worked to chisel points by metal tools. The site is situated in poorly to moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. The site dendrochronologically dated to 954±9 BC or later (Q9523).
