The National Monuments Service's description
Three possible stakes in near vertical positions in the drain face (L 21.069m; Wth 0.2m; D 0.17m). The first sighting consists of two stakes set at 85° and 50°, respectively. One of these is a half-split piece of brushwood; the other has evidence of branch-trimming. The second sighting consists of a single stake. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
