The National Monuments Service's description

The site (L 135m; Wth 0.95m; D 0.1m) is orientated ENE-WSW and consists of superstructure of longitudinal planks and roundwoods supported by roundwood and plank transverses. All recorded timbers were of oak (L 0.67; Wth 0.122-0.19; D 0.058-0.07). These radially split planks had v-shaped mortices cut into their ends (L 0.1m; Wth 0.05m; D0.07m). Another example is complete with its accompanying peg. Generally the condition of the wood is quite poor and the timber surfaces have been milled. The dispersed arrangement of timbers and the quantities of wood debris scattered around the site indicate that part of this structure has been removed by milling.
