The National Monuments Service's description

An unlocated structure within the townlands of Clonmacnoise or Tullaghbeg. This site was discovered under a metre of undisturbed peat about a quarter of a mile SE of Clonmacnoise. It consisted of a series of 'side beams' or runners up to 8m in length, morticed approximately every 1.35m. Between the runners were 'joists' or transverse timbers up to 1.10m in length. Several 'stakes' or pegs survived upright within successive mortices. The original report described this togher as a 'framed passage'. (Anon, 1870-1, 279)
