The National Monuments Service's description
Located on the E facing slope of a ridge running N-S with limited views. Partially levelled ringfort consisting of a circular area (diam 37.7m N-S) enclosed by a barely visible bank which can be seen from NE through E to S. The interior of the site slopes from W to E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
