The National Monuments Service's description
Located on the SW-facing slope of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. This feature was not depicted on the 1834 or 1907 editions of the OS 6-inch map. A portion of an earthen bank (Wth 8m; int. H 1m; ext. H 0.8m) at NW (Chord 21m) was visible in 1967 but had been removed by 1984.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
