The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the highest point of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. This is a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 43m NW-SE) with some rock outcrop at the surface defined by an earthen bank (at SE: Wth 4m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.1m) and hedge NW-N-S and an artificial scarp (at W: Wth 2.3m; H 1.3m) elsewhere, with an external bank (at W: Wth 4m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.2m) close to its base SW-W. The original entrance is not identified. A relict NW-SE field bank runs through the interior NE of the centre. The Rath (MO031-015----) is c. 200m to the NW and ringfort (MO031-017----) is c. 120m to the SE.
