The National Monuments Service's description
Located on the SE-facing spine of a slight NW-SE drumlin ridge overlooking a slight col with equally high ground c. 100m to the SE. This is a circular grass and scrub-ocvered area (diam. 29m NW-SE; 28m ENE-WSW) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 6-6.5m; nt. H 0.5-1.1m; ext. H 2.2-2.6m) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 6.2-8m; Wth of base 1m; ext. D 1.8-2m) from an overgrown outer bank (at NW: Wth of base 4m; ext. H 0.5m) that is incorporated into a field bank NNW-E; and it is incorporated into a field bank and townland boundary with Cornacrew to the SE (at SE: Wth of base 4m; ext. H 1.2m) SE-S (max. ext. diam. 47m NW-SE). The original entrance (Wth of base 2.3m) and traces of a causeway are at E.
