The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in a small quarry (Wth c. 5m; max. D 2m) towards the bottom a SW-facing and sloping face of rock outcrop (H c. 5m) in an undulating landscape. It was known as ‘Carraig an Aifrinn’, and there was a stone there that had the imprint of the priest’s knees, which may have been a bullaun stone (Ó Gallachair 1957, 125) that is no longer present. The mass-rock was conserved c. AD 2000 and is a flat stone (dims 1.75m x 0.66m; T 0.15-0.17m) with a red tinge to the surface, which is thought locally to be the blood of a priest killed or wounded there. It is set on a drystone pier (H 0.75m) and seven steps lead down the sloping rock-face to the level pasture around it.
