The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the S end of a N-S drumlin ridge. A circular earthwork is depicted here on maps of the Ballybay estate by N. Willoughby (1786). No archaeological feature is visible on aerial images.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
