The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a slight S-facing slope. This was described in 1969 (SMR file) as a circular grass-covered area (diam. 58m NNW-SSE; 60m ENE-WSW) defined by the slight remains of an earthen bank (at SW: Wth of base 7m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m) largely reduced to a scarp (at NE: Wth 4m; H 0.7m) with an external fosse (at NE: Wth of top 8m; Wth of base 3m; ext. D 0.5m) that has largely melded into the interior. A second outer bank (Wth of base 5-5.5m; ext. H 1.3-1.8m) and fosse (Wth of top 5m; Wth of base 1m; ext. D 0.5-0.8m) survived NN-E, and the entrance may have been at E where the perimeter was badly eroded (max. ext. diam. 75m NE-SW). It remains unplanted at the N edge of a coniferous forest but the bank and fosse are overgrown where they survive SE-W-NNE (Google Earth 012/06/2020).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
