The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a prominent hillock in a fairly level landscape. This is a raised, flat-topped and grass-covered mound (diam. of top 41m E-W; 40.5m N-S; diam. of base 58m E-W; H 5.5m) with a fosse (Wth of base 4-5m; ext. D 1-1.4m) and an outer bank (Wth of base 7-10m; ext. H 2.9-3.5m). There is a slight fosse outside the bank and a second outer bank (Wth of base 7m; Wth of top 4m) SSW-N which connects with the inner bank at S (max. ext. diam. 90m E-W). There is a wide ramp onto the central mound at SE. The site of Rodanstown parish church (ME049-021---) is c. 550m to the SE.
