The National Monuments Service's description
A single roundwood exposed in section in the drain face 0.40m from the field surface. The element was oriented E-W and measured 0.17m in diameter. It was located in moderately decomposed sphagnum peat with frequent inclusions of eriophorum and ericeacous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2005. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
